Influencia del estigma en el deseo sexual de las minorías kink: un estudio de alcance

Resumen

El estigma social hacia las sexualidades no convencionales afecta la salud mental de quienes las practican. La patologización y la falta de capacitación profesional en el tratamiento de personas con intereses parafílicos contribuyen a la brecha en el conocimiento científico. La comunidad kink sufre las consecuencias de ser una minoría sexual, entrelazándose con otras identidades sexuales y de género. Este estudio de alcance recoge información sobre la influencia del estigma hacia personas con intereses parafílicos/BDSM/kink. Las bases de datos incluidas fueron PsycInfo, Scopus, PubMed y Web of Science, sin limitaciones por fecha o idioma. Mediante una revisión por pares se seleccionaron 42 trabajos que abordaban el estigma dirigido, percibido, institucional y sus consecuencias en personas con intereses kink. La confluencia de esta comunidad con otras minorías vulnerables y la opinión pública negativa sobre ella, comprometen la calidad de la atención psicológica y sanitaria. El estigma internalizado daña la salud mental, pudiendo derivar en ideación suicida. Además, la calidad de la atención sanitaria es insuficiente debido al escaso conocimiento de los profesionales, evidenciando la necesidad de una mayor capacitación y sensibilidad clínica. A pesar de estos desafíos, la comunidad BDSM emerge como un espacio de resiliencia y apoyo mutuo.
