.Abstract
The first contacts (both cultural and practical) with the phenomenon of drugs occur during the final stage of basic general education (EGB) and the early years of secondary education. On the other hand, there is consensus that the best tool to combat this phenomenon is prevention. Based on these premises, a preventive model was designed in 1984 and has been empirically evaluated since then. In its most recent revision, it consists of ten steps, as detailed in this paper.
