Municipal Psychopedagogical Teams in the province of Seville

Abstract

Since the creation of the Municipal Psychopedagogical Team of Arahal and Paradas in 1979, and up to the emergence of the most recent teams in 1986, the number of these services has grown rapidly, covering almost the entire province of Seville. This situation represents a new and unique experience that, due to its scale and speed, cannot be compared with similar developments elsewhere in the country. Despite the striking nature of this growth, its importance has not always been fully appreciated in the political sphere, meaning that the future, closely tied to decisions of this kind, remains somewhat uncertain.
