.Abstract
Building on a previous work published in this same journal, Hypotheses on the Psychopathological and Social Consequences of Unemployment, which addressed the individual and social costs of unemployment, this article aims to define the attitude and functions that psychologists should assume in the fight against unemployment, how these are reflected in public and private institutional action, and the proposals put forward during the conference on this subject held in Paris (October 1985) by the Fédération des Psychologues.
