Abstract

With our integration into Europe, the ability to communicate in a language other than one’s mother tongue is becoming a necessity in all areas: work, study, personal relationships, and more. This concern has reached the school setting, with an increasing number of children learning a second language both inside and outside of school. This article provides an overview of the optimal age to begin second language acquisition, the methods employed, and ongoing or completed experiences in this area.
