Abstract

From 17 to 19 November, Seville hosted the First National Congress of Pain Clinics (pain in science and culture), organised by the Pain Clinic of Diagnostic and Treatment Centre at the Virgen del Rocio Hospital in Seville. This interdisciplinary health congress included a cultural programme with art, literature, history, and theatre. Round tables covered: neurobiology of pain; opioid pharmacology; therapeutic blocks; neurosurgery and infusion systems; psychological approaches to pain; neurostimulation and acupuncture; and nursing care for patients experiencing pain.
