Outputs and Integrations: Comments on David Saldaña’s article “Metacognición y daño cerebral”

Abstract

This commendable work provides an opportunity for some exploratory reflections on conceptual, instrumental, and professional frameworks, as well as potential new integrations. Perhaps psychological science, in its strong tendency to model and operationalize, has drifted away from the challenging and, at times, utopian, phenomenological nakedness. While not always well-regarded, encouraging such an approach could help recover rich insights, which may have been overlooked due to their simplicity or the inherent difficulties associated with the elemental. These lines constitute a friendly invitation to engage in several reflections beyond those so fruitfully offered by this article.
