A case of constructivist-systemic therapy with an institutionalised offender

The case described is included in a program of social reintegration, developed in a penitentiary centre by a multidisciplinary team. Program has a variant for individual therapy organized from a constructivist and systemic view of point. Into this variant is included the case showed. Aims of treatment were: a) reconstruction of subject’s identity and personal experience from alternative view points; b) Increase the personal value of relational and personal needs; c) Looking for meanings that had been used as protection factor ¡n his experience. Instruments for evaluation were SCL-90-R and grid technique. Therapeutic strategy developed and obtained results are described.
