.Abstract
The hopes and disappointments arising from the change recently voted by the Spanish people provide a timely opportunity to reflect on the repercussions of this popular decision for psychology professionals, and more specifically for social psychologists.
In particular, attention is given to the political implications of both the practice and theorising of social psychologists, as well as to the impact on their practice in social intervention and scientific research.
