Abstract

In this article, we attempt to review—as succinctly as it is informative—the vast body of data that has emerged between Skinner's initial formulation regarding the behavioral determining power of non-contingent reinforcement and Staddon's more recent exposition, based on a more evolutionary conception of reinforcement.
