Abstract

In this paper we reflect on the changes that have arisen in the practices and theoretical models of clinical psychology as a result of its inclusion among recognized - National Health services. These developments have been caused by changes in the type of patient, the manner in which service demands are defined and participation in a system in which our points of view have to coexist with those of other professionals. The way the health service is enriched by the inclusion of psychologists is also considered. The need for new practical and theoretical models in order to respond to challenges posed by the new situation is defended.
