Abstract

This paper provides a predominantly practical presentation of the functional roles of the psychologist in a pain clinic, based on the experience of one of the authors. In parallel, it addresses conceptual aspects of the phenomenon, the evaluation procedures and instruments used, as well as the therapeutic contributions made from psychology, and more specifically, from a behavioural perspective.
