Musical practice, often compared to elite sports, involves high physical and psychological demands. Musical performance elicits intense emotional experiences, ranging from enjoyment and flow to frustration and fear. Mental regulation and psychological well-being are essential for maintaining health and success in high-performance contexts such as the artistic-musical field. In recent decades, Positive psychology and Performance psychology have contributed to the development of psychological training programs for musicians. This study investigates whether a specifically designed psychological intervention program improves subjective well-being in music education settings. A custom questionnaire and intervention program were created to enhance the stage performance experience. We hypothesized that the experimental group (EG) would show significant improvements in several psychological variables compared to the control group (CG). Seventy participants were assigned to either the EG (n=34) or the CG (n=36) using a quasiexperimental design. Instruments were applied to assess variables such as self-esteem, anxiety, and motivation. Results show statistically significant differences between groups and within the EG, between pre- and post-intervention scores. These findings support the effectiveness of the intervention in improving psychological well-being and mental skills relevant to musical performance.
