An overview of the employment situation, professional interests, and training needs of psychologists in Western Andalusia

Abstract

This paper outlines the situation of three important professional aspects among psychologists in Western Andalusia. Based on this analysis, the impact of certain sociological factors and professional interests on the employment situation is discussed. It also identifies actions to be undertaken by the University and the Association of Psychologists with a view to positively influencing the modification of certain—relatively maladaptive—professional practices of psychologists, at least within the territorial area under consideration.
